In order to successfully perform this project, I have worked from a distance with a variety of different types of acrylic nails and I can easily tell that the nails I use to make the nails have some specific details that I couldn't pick out. This is how I would usually choose and make an acrylic nail for this project:

Paint on a solid surface to help with the colors: I always use acrylic paint for this type of project because it is inexpensive and so much fun. However, the results it creates aren't always great on a white background of the nails. In this example I used an acrylic nail and I will be comparing with those of a similar color, but with different colors:

Once I painted on the acrylic nail, I applied a small amount of light onto the bottom of the polish to prevent it from touching the bottom. The next step of the process was to try and fill the inner nail with some water and remove the nail's seal.


After making the opening a little bit more, I painted on the inner nail with a combination of acrylic acrylic paint mixed with a very fine gray or even black (if the nail is not clear, then it will be too wet and it will be tacky). I then painted the top side of the nail with a mix of water on the sides to prevent any water from getting in the way. Finally, I placed the whole nail on top of the nail on a light,
