It does have a few slight dips over the top of the neck, but they're not as sharp as the neck width they're made out of. The rest of the neck is straight up. It's pretty much one and the same. The neck is slightly thicker than the main rest where the crown of the head is. The entire thing is more flexible. It's actually designed and constructed in the shape of a real head. The lower portion of the tail is a bit firmer than what you'd see from a real head and the side can be shaped more like a crown or even a little more than how it'd look on a real head.
