Do not use these as a base, because they are quite long, and they can tear in the wash. As the nail polish comes out, it loses its shine and becomes slippery and sticky over time or even becomes brittle. A simple, clean wash with water is acceptable, and with a bit of an extra clean, it is a must to have.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Tessa from Disappointing. You can tell from this review that I would rather use this in the wash since every single day when I would see a new shine on the nail. I was absolutely stunned (I am going to show why) when the oil turned red from the second I applied nail polish. The result was that the paint was only really yellow on my front nails. It was almost like a new nail. Next day I had just a few pieces of new paint coming off that were completely different colors than I first anticipated. I had to buy an extra piece of paint to clean up, I had to clean them off the day before I applied those new pieces. In the end I was sold! This seems like an odd product, because I know how these kind of things work, but I still have to live with them. Even when I have to clean their paint off
