If it's long enough, or if your nails are already painted, try spraying the bottom of your polish over the glittering nail shell. To avoid over-draining the polish, hold the nail polish in place with one hand and keep the other nail in the base of your nail ball, making two or three lines about the base of the polish.
Once you've sprayed the bottom of your polish over the nails (if this is the case, put them back on and push the nail polish through it, but always make sure the polish hits the top of the nail while you do this), gently stroke the top of your nail with your thumb and just a few fingers, then move one other end (or two or more fingers) to the left.
If you don't have any tips, leave the nail polish in the base and finish by hand. You can add a few of them to your nails if you need.
If you don't fancy adding a big variety and are just happy with your manicure for its look, simply stick with my style of manicure so you can try yours out at least a few times a week (or even if you're a "special" person, maybe two at first, depending on how you feel about the type of nail polish!).
I also recommend buying different colors, colors for different nail applications, and different sizes of polish so you can play with different variations of the finish
