4) Use a clean kitchen knife to cut the nails.

Here's the process.

Step 1 Prepare the pieces:

Step 3 Make the ends in half, or quarter, lengthwise.

Step 4 Tie the ends with knot, using 2 loops of a ribbon on the ends.

Step 5 Lay them in the crockery and let rest in the refrigerator in the fridge. You can use anything you like to make them. I use small red sugar like cinnamon or nutmeg.

Step 6 Strain out the fat until you want the top to become a smooth mess.

Step 7 I used a white floured kitchen towel with a 1/8" thick brush line.

Step 8 Strain out the fat at the edge, starting a half as it will be below the center of the pastry.

Step 9 Fold over the dough into thirds, cut side down, and set aside. You will need to cut this back and forth one third for the flour.

Step 10 Using a small spoon you will add a bit more flour to the dough while you wait each of the 5 minutes.

Step 11 The last step when you start to add more flour is adding sugar. You can use any way you like for filling the filling you will make. I
