Step 6. Place 1/2 inch (5.25 cm) of wet sandpaper across top of the nail. Repeat 2-3 times and then lay flat onto the nail. If you're stuck on the nail, make sure the glue holds the top of the nail in place at the base, not the backside. If you're stuck on the nail, make sure the top of the nail is not flat.

Next, use another two (2.5 mm) of sandpaper and roll it so the backside of the base comes on top. Lay the nail flat as shown.

Step 7. Cut a 3-cm-wide square out of the base (or 4 cm and 3 cm in diameter). I prefer to use a 2.5 cm-wide square for base paint, but you can try the 3-cm-wide as well for base paint.

Step 8. Brush the top nail of the base with clean water. Rinse the base well with water, then place this onto the base on a clean surface of your choice. You can also use a little bit of sandpaper, a bit of dry sandpaper, black or white paint, or whatever for this finishing.

Step 9. Cut a 3-cm-wide rectangle from the base (or 4-cm-wide rectangle).

Step 10. Lay this rectangle on an actual surface
